Typically you need:
1. Identity proof (PAN card mandatory for Indians)
2. Address proof (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, etc.)
3. Passport size photograph
4. For organization DSCs, additional company documents are required

For individual DSCs with complete documents, we typically process applications within 24-48 hours. Organization DSCs may take 2-3 working days depending on document verification.

Currently, digital signature certificates are issued with 1 or 2 years validity. You can renew your DSC before it expires to continue using it without interruption.

Class 2 DSCs are used for basic signing purposes like income tax filing, while Class 3 DSCs provide higher security and are mandatory for e-tendering, e-procurement and other high-value transactions. Class 3 requires physical verification of the applicant.
